Driven by a deep sense of service, Dale spent most of his life in law enforcement and much of his time outside of law enforcement giving back as a Shriner, Mason, and Rotarian. To carry on his spirit of service and generosity, in lieu of flowers, we request donations made in his name to a charity, below, of one of the organizations to which he selflessly and generously contributed his time and money.

Maine State Troopers Foundation (MSTF) Scholarship Fund

Dale believed strongly not only in the Maine State Police mission statement to “keep our state a safe place to live and visit” but also in the “Troopers Care!” value of the Maine State Troopers Foundation. The MSTF Scholarship Fund The MSTF Scholarship Fund provides monies to any child or step-child of a retired Maine State Police officer that is entering their first year of college or tech school.

To donate to the MSTF Scholarship Fund:

Shriners Hospitals for Children

Year after year, until he could no longer do so, Dale worked tirelessly to ensure a successful Anah Shriners Circus, reminding us of the life-changing contributions made to the Shriners Children’s New England and Shriners Children’s Boston Hospitals as a result. These Shriners Children’s Hospitals provide specialty care to children 100% free of charge in areas such as burn care, spine and spinal cord care, and cleft lip and cleft palate care.

Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation

My (Andrea) earliest memories of Dad and the Masons is about giving. He was always so proud of the good work that the Masons did and his contribution to that work. The Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation manages funds that provide scholarships, local philanthropy, funding for youth group activities, and more.
